Mouse Study: Light Passing Through Body Into Womb Helps In Eye Development.

(1/17, Gallagher) reports, "Light passing through the body and into the womb has an important role in the developing eye," according to research published in the journal Nature 
. The study "showed that mice spending pregnancy in complete darkness had babies with altered eye development." The study also "indicated tiny quantities of light were needed to control blood vessel growth in the eye."
